Dr. Todd Pylant, Pastor
Todd Pylant joined FBC Benbrook as Pastor in October 2004. He has pastored churches in San Angelo and Waco, and served on staff as Minister to Young Families in Augusta, Georgia before joining FBC Benbrook. He holds degrees from Baylor, Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, and Bethel Seminary. Todd and Kelli have three children: Bailey, Cade, and Ainsley. Visit his blog at Word of God Speak
Dr. Gary Waller, Pastor of Administration and Education
Gary Waller came to the staff of FBC in 2005. He served as professor of administration and dean of distance learning at Southwestern Seminary from 1984-2006. In August of 2006 he assumed the position of Vice President of Learning Management and Co-Founder of Rockbridge Seminary. He has doctorates from Southwestern and University of North Texas. He completed his bachelor’s degree at Baylor University. He has been a full-time staff member at 3 churches in Ft Worth and one in Waco. He has been interim at churches in Arlington, Dallas, and Grapevine. He and his wife Cindy are from Ft Worth both graduating from Castleberry High School. They have 2 daughters and 6 grandsons.
Dr. Oscar Dressler, Minister of Music
Oscar Dressler is originally from Argentina and has relocated with his family to the United States from Paraguay. He has his doctorate in piano performance from Southwestern Seminary. He is available to teach organ, piano, and voice lessons to various ages. He and his wife, Cristina have 2 children, Rocio and Mathias.
Shannon Pannell, Minister to Children
Shannon Pannell has been a part of FBC Benbrook since September 2006. Shannon graduated from East Texas Baptist University with a degree in Kinesiology and a minor in Religion. She has been involved in ministry since the age of 15 and has constantly felt the calling to tell children about the love of Jesus. She enjoys outdoor activities and everything that involves playing and talking about Jesus. Deuteronomy 6:5-9 is one of her favorite passages.
Scott Buck, Minister to Students
Scott Buck has been with FBC Benbrook since 2006, and he has been in youth ministry since 2004. He and his wife, Leah, were married in September of 2005. They have three children: Timothy, Cadence, and Bree. He earned his BA of Humanities from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in May of 2010.
Susan Storey, Church Secretary
Susan has been full-time secretary since November, 1968. She enjoys her job here because of the many different tasks involved – no two days are ever alike! She collects nutcrackers and lighthouses and enjoys traveling, especially to New England and Europe, and taking lots of pictures. Her husband, Mike, was in the Army and Navy and is a retired second grade school teacher. He has participated in several of the church’s mission trips to Mexico helping to build churches.
