The Women’s Ministry offers a variety of opportunities for fellowship, service, and growth throughout the year. Some are annual events, some are weekly, and others are monthly. Weekly/Monthly Events




Ladies Night Out - Second Monday night of each month from 6:30 to 8:15 pm

The group meets in the Fellowship Hall at FBC. The meal is a covered dish. See Sunday bulletin for more information; information also sent out by email. Child care is provided upon request by the Friday before. For more information, speak to Serena Garciadiaz and Barbara Jenkins.



Sisters in Stitches Quilters - first and third Monday of each month from 1:00 to 5:00 pm

For beginning and advance quilters. Bring your own project to work on, and learn from others. Meet in the SIS Room (Sister in Stitches Room). The SIS Room is located off the church office. They also meet the fifth Monday for a workday from 10 to 2 and order in pizza for lunch. For more information, contact Betty Nowlin and Nita Crawford.



Women’s Ministry - fourth Monday of each month from 7:00 to 9:00 pm

This group meets in the Fellowship Hall. Among other service projects, they also collect homemade cookies for home bound members and for those in nursing homes. More information  can be found in the Sunday bulletin  or contact Lois Smith.



Book Club - second Thursday of each month from 10:00 to Noon

The Book Club selects a book each month to read, and then meets to discuss the book. The group meets in the Benbook Library. For more information see the Sunday Bulletin or contact Liz Lester and Ann Crenshaw.




Craft Night - Second Saturday of each month from 4:00 - 9:00 PM

This group meets in the Fellowship Hall - Come and go. Work on your craft project (scrapbooking, knitting, sewing, etc.) or just come for fellowship. Bring your own snack/dinner. Young crafters welcome too! Contact Sherri Halyard for more information. 



Project Linus - last Saturday of each month from 1:00 to 4:00 PM

This group makes baby quilts for babies at risk. No sewing experience is required. They meet in the Fellowship Hall. Donations needed for fabric and batting.





Apples of Gold - Thursday nights from 6:00 to 9:00 pm in the Spring.

Apples of God is a mentoring program where six younger ladies are invited to meet with six older ladies for a seven week study in the home of Gwen Campbell.

Annual Events


Ladies Spring Tea (May)

Each Spring, around Mother’s Day, the ladies gather for a Spring Tea.

Jubilee of Tables (Fall - September/October)

Jubilee of Tables is an annual event. On a Saturday in the Fall, the ladies gather for a catered meal and to hear a word from a guest speaker. The tables are uniquely decorated by various women’s ministry groups or by individuals. Tickets can be purchased in advance through the church office. Childcare is available by reservation only. This year’s Jubilee of Tables is Saturday, September 16th from 10 AM to Noon. For more information, contact Barbara Jenkins.

A Fun Night of food, games and crafts

Pregnancy Help Center Baby Shower January and February

Supports our local Pregnancy Help Center. All types of baby items can be used for newborns to 12 months. Bring donations unwrapped.
Dollars for Diapers. Money collected for PHC to purchase diapers at a reduced cost.
