HS- About Us
We hope our high school students will join our church in “loving God, loving others, and serving both.”
Loving God
Sunday Morning Worship. Sunday Morning Worship. All are encouraged to attend a Sunday morning worship service. Traditional Worship happens at 9:00am, and The Gathering Worship happens at 11am.
Velocity. Velocity is Wednesday night worship program for high schoolers. Meets from 6pm to 7:30pm on Wednesdays and has games/activities, worship, and teaching.
Youth Camp. Takes place during the summer with many other youth ministries, and combines worship with recreation to provide students an opportunity to grow in their walk with Christ.
Loving Others
Sunday School. Meets from 10:00am to 11:00am and combines large group teaching and breakout groups for discussion.
Life Groups. Meet from 5:00pm-6:00pm on Sundays and are divided by gender. They provide ministry at a personal level that is designed to meet the needs of the individual
Disciple Now. Takes place in September and kicks off youth cell groups for the year. Students have home group time as well as time for activities, worship, and teaching.
Serving Both
Youth Council. Adults and student leaders assist the Youth Pastor by meeting three to four times a year to discuss the ministry and by volunteering to help when needed.
Outreach. We do many church wide outreach projects as well as do outreach in the schools. We develop relationships with school faculty to make a better impact on the general student population.
Missions. We do mission projects throughout the year and local outreach opportunities most months. Keep your eye on the calendar.
And our three main values:
Jesus based. Everything we do is influenced by our desire to make Jesus #1
Family based. We see our high school ministry as supporting the parent’s role in raising a child. For more information, visit our page on Family Ministry.
Disciple Making. We see our role in fulfilling the Great Commission in making disciples, which begins with sharing our faith, leads to growing students in their faith, and continues with leading them to make other disciples.
