Local Missions
Several groups from the church volunteer to serve meals on a monthly basis.
We serve as a Host Site for Meals on Wheels. Meals are delivered to our church daily, and volunteers come to our church to pick up the meals and take them to the MOW clients in Benbrook.
Read 2 Win is a literacy mission in conjunction with Tarrant Net and FWISD. Volunteer reading coaches are trained by FWISD and placed in local elementary schools to help first grade students develop needed reading skills. Our church has been working to place volunteer reading coaches in Westpark Elementary since the Spring of 2012.
Church members work in the supply room to sort donations.
Several teams from the church volunteer at Safe Haven, a shelter for women and children who are victims of domestic violence.
A few of our members volunteer as Child Advocates with CASA, and our church participates in the annual “Halo Project,” providing back packs filled with back to school items for local children.
The Men of FBC Benbrook often help out at the Food Bank sorting donations.
