Past
In 1954, 53 Saints gathered under a common vision: to establish a faith full witness to the Gospel of Jesus Christ in the city of Benbrook. They labored in love and worked in faith, not just for themselves, but for the generations yet to come.
Today, we are that generation. We stand literally and spiritually upon the rich heritage of their faith. As we look back on 72 years of God’s faithfulness, we celebrate the “Saints” of our past by preparing to carry their vision forward into our future
Present
We want to be good stewards of all that God has given to us, as well as what He is doing in and through us today. God has provided us with a rich heritage of faith, a clear understanding of the Gospel, and a legacy of love that has been developed here in this community. This stewardship includes the tangible tools and resources He has provided for our ministry—specifically the buildings in which we meet.
Future
In January of 2024, the Deacons authorized the pastor to form a Long Range Planning Committee to lead the church in addressing major facility issues. The pastor selected Wayne Johnson, Brittany Casteel, Dave Roberts, Megan Terrell, Joel Nissen, Beth Meyer, and Matt Miller to join him in earnest prayer. We knew God was moving in our church, and we wanted to respond in faith and obedience. For the first six months, all we did was meet once a month for focused prayer. In the fall of 2024, the vision began to take shape but was clarified through long conversations and much prayer. FBCNext is the fruit of over two years of prayerful consideration.
